Job Description

Zamfara State Government has approved the recruitment of 500 new teachers for the first phase of 2025. This is an opportunity for qualified candidates who want to start or build a career in teaching. As a Beginner Teacher, your main duty will be to teach students in public schools across the state.

Teachers will be posted where there is a need, mainly in rural areas. You will be expected to work from 7:30 am to 2:00 pm during school weekdays. Your role includes preparing lessons, teaching students, managing classroom activities, and helping learners understand the subjects.

This recruitment is done under the new “Teacher Recruitment and Deployment Policy and Guidelines (TRDPG).”

Only candidates who meet the requirements and perform well in the recruitment process will be selected.

Requirements

  • Degree in Education: B.Ed, BSc.Ed, BA.Ed, or
    BA/BSc (with PGDE)

  • NYSC Certificate or Exemption

  • TRCN Certificate (preferred)

  • NCE holders may apply

  • Minimum of 2 years experience (preferred)

  • Good grades: Distinction, Credit, or Merit for NCE;
    First or Second Class for Degree holders

  • Age not more than 40 years

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is an added advantage

  • Biology

  • Chemistry

  • Physics

  • Computer Studies/ICT

  • Entrepreneurship Studies
